I actually loved the co-op in Resident Evil 5. I know most believe it was useless, but it was just a good idea to me.

However, I would not want to see it back in the next game. I'd rather it just be exclusive to the previous game--but unfortunately, this seems very unlikely to be left out.

I'd also like RE6 to be a single player game or at least the majority of it...
They could include some optional co-op, with some bonus missions and/or mini games.
But I doubt it will happen. I seem to remember some nob from Capcom saying that online co-op was "the way of the future for the series". If it was a single player game, me and others would be happy but I reckon even more people would be pissed off about it. (WTF, no online co-op?!!)

I think it's good that RE6 could come sooner rather than later. To spend so much time making the graphics, physics and combat engines and only use it in a single game would be a shame. They should tweak and improve everything and add some new stuff but working with RE5 as a base, the next game should come much faster.

As long as they fixed the " screen tearing" of the game engine that is very obvious on the 360 and PC versions, its horrible that they shipped it like that, yet the PS3 is not noticable thank god. Do that Capcom then you can make as many as you like on this current engine.

...screen-tearing is your biggest complaint with RE5?

From a graphical stand point yes. As I have said over and over I enjoyed RE5 alot, I have enjoyed everyone they have made so far. Thats just me tho.

Yes zombies would of been cool, but it was still very fun, and thats what I want, fun.

Inafune saying that he wants RE6 to be made as soon as possible... whew!... that tells me that they want to cash in on either the still-hot RE5 bonanza, the trendy RE movies... or both.

Thing is, Capcom perceives that RE is a hot property with most mainstream consumers. So they gotta deliver something fast. They already got that 3DS game on the way.

Who knows, RE may become the next Madden and we'll get a new game every year or so.

Use V-sync. The option is there for a reason. There's nothing to fix.

I don't ask much of Capcom when it comes to RE...just give me a feeling of isolation/ night and crimson heads, honestly it could happen under the freakin' sea for all I care.

                        Weren't they doing that already?

Red Queen, from the bigscreen to Umbrella Chronicles, the laser dodge scenes from the bigscreen to Bio4, etc....

I guess I agree with you too. After almost two years since the game has come out I do recognize its flaws, but putting that aside, I have played this game so many times and I have enjoyed it like almost no other. Of course I had high expectasions that ultimetly did not come true, but I still had loads of fun.

Co-Op was fun, but I really wish there would've been the possibility to turn the coop off. I loved the tense feeling that RE4 had. Leon against an army of maniacs. Having a partner is nice and all, but not as scary and at times really annoying.

I played RE5 on the xbox and I couldn't enjoy it BECAUSE OF THIS. Thank god for ps3.

Under the freakin sea sounds great, lets do that!

Funny how the real-movies almost have nothing to do with the games themselves, but the games actually do take things from the movies.

I think its really good news that they want to make another game and bring it out sooner and I do agree that it would be a shame to re-develop everything from scratch (well you know what I mean) . What I would really love to see in RE6 would be a longer story like RE4 had (I mean up to 16 hours is just lovely!) and I hope they darken it up a bit!

Nah! that was the movies having an influence on the games. And those references most likely had a near-zero effect on how successful they were.

What I was referring to in my previous post, was that Capcom most likely wants to cash in on what's currently hot right NOW with the franchise... RE5 & Afterlife. And that's why Inafune is in such a hurry to get RE6 out the door.

                            You get my drift now?

Well it would be a good promo to announce something right after Afterlife comes out ... which I believe is actually the idea of Capcom atm.

^ TGS would be the far more likely venue imo..
